Removal, check of a condition and installation of assemblage of coupling

Remember that developed in the course of deterioration of frictional overlays the dust can contain the extremely unhealthy the person asbestos! At all do not blow off a dust the compressed air. Do not use for washing of components of coupling solvents on an oil basis - apply only a special cleaner to brake mechanisms or pure methyl spirit. Used протирочную the rags should be combined in tightly closed capacity.

In spite of the fact that some new frictional materials do not contain asbestos, during performance of procedures of service of coupling it is necessary to start with the assumption that asbestos in all of them is available.



1. If the power unit is not removed from the car and not dismembered, access to coupling assemblage can is provided by transmission dismantle.

2. Before to start coupling dismantling, mark landing position of a basket of coupling on a flywheel with a chalk or a marker.

3. Moving to a diagonal order, in stages (on a half-turn for the approach) in regular intervals ослабьте bolts of fastening of a basket to a flywheel so that there was a possibility of their reversing manually.

4. Having hooked, remove assemblage of a basket from directing pins...

... Then remove a frictional disk. Try to remember correct adjusting position of a frictional disk.

Condition check


In view of labour input of procedures of removal and assemblage installation it is usually accepted to make replacement of a frictional disk, a basket and выжимного the bearing in the complete set even if one of components is worn out only. Strictly speaking, to replace coupling assemblage it is reasonable in a preventive order each time at dismantle of a box of transfers/engines.

1. Remove coupling assemblage.
2. Before performance of cleaning of components familiarise with the prevention in the beginning of the present Section. Working in well ventilated premise, and it is better - in the open air, carefully clear components, having wiped their pure rags moistened in a special cleaner for components of brake mechanisms or methyl spirit.
3. Estimate degree of deterioration of frictional overlays, check up them on presence of signs of mechanical damages or traces замасливания. In case of revealing of cracks, traces of an overheat, deep scratches, oil stains or other defects the frictional disk is subject to replacement in gathering. Manufacturers of cars (company Skoda) does not put forward frictional overlays of a disk of coupling any on a limiting thickness. It is considered to be that heads of rivets should be drowned below a surface of overlays not less than on 3 mm.
4. If frictional overlays are in working order, estimate deterioration degree шлицов disk naves, check up a condition and durability of landing торсионных springs and rivets. In case of revealing of defects the disk is subject to replacement.
5. If frictional overlays appear are polluted by oil, check up a condition of the left epiploon of a cranked shaft. Replace defective sealing components before to start installation of a new frictional disk.
6. Check up basket assemblage on presence of signs of mechanical damages. Shake press a disk, checking durability of landing of rivets. Make sure of absence of traces of an overheat обечаек fastenings of a press disk to a basket. In case of revealing of damages, signs of deterioration or weakening of developed effort диафрагменной springs replace basket assemblage.
7. Check up a condition of contact surfaces of a flywheel and a frictional disk - they should be absolutely flat, pure and free from cavities, deep scratches and задиров. Minor defects can be eliminated by processing of a surface by a fine-grained emery paper. In more serious cases replace a defective component.
8. Check up rotation freedom выжимного the bearing. Estimate a condition of its working surface. In case of revealing of deep scratches, cavities, задиров and other damages replace the bearing.



1. At assemblage make sure of serviceability of a condition of contact surfaces of a frictional disk and a flywheel. From new components carefully remove preservative traces.
2. Grease шлицы a frictional disk of coupling with a thin layer of high-temperature greasing of type Kluber Microlube GL202, GL261 or GL262, or Mobil lithium 932 or 933. Try not to admit greasing hit on frictional overlays. Surplus of greasing remove.
3. Establish a frictional disk подпружиненной the nave party aside from a flywheel. On some disks the special marks are provided, allowing to define, what party to its flywheel it is necessary to establish.
4. Establish assemblage of a basket of coupling. At installation of an old basket track combination of the landing labels put in the course of dismantle. Screw fixing bolts and tighten them, while only by hand that there was a possibility of updating of position of assemblage.
5. Now it is necessary to centre a frictional disk that at transmission installation шлицы pins of a primary shaft have got to the centre of a nave of a disk.
6. For centering pass a screw-driver or other suitable core in an aperture in an end face of a cranked shaft. Now the frictional disk can be centered in relation to a shaft. It is alternatively possible to take advantage of the special tool that allows to reduce appreciably the time expenses connected with adjustment. The tool can be made in house conditions of a suitable metal core or wooden бруска, densely sitting down in an aperture in an end face of a cranked shaft. In a place продевания a core in a nave it is necessary to reel up an adhesive tape on it, having provided landing density in ступичном an aperture.

7. Having finished a centering of a frictional disk, tighten bolts of fastening of a basket with demanded effort - operate in a diagonal order, a tightening make in regular intervals, in stages.

8. Establish into place transmission assemblage (see Has undressed Removal and transmission installation).
