Air central air (К/В) enters into an additional complete set of models of class LXi and GLXi petrol models 1.3 and 1.6 l. The complete set system K/V of the models equipped with the diesel engine is not represented possible. The function chart of the conditioner of air is presented on illustrations. System K/V components are made in Czechia, Germany and Japan.

The system allows to lower temperature and humidity of air submitted to salon that appreciably raises comfort of stay in the car of the driver and passengers.

Structurally evaporator K/V is united with the heater case, a back part and заслонки воздухораспределения which remain in an invariable kind. In a forward part of a casing the evaporator with own fan is established.

In a mode of cooling К/В the household refrigerator works by the same principle, as. The gaseous coolant is soaked up in the compressor put in action by a belt drive and arrives in the condenser established before a radiator where gives the heat, passing in a liquid phase. Further, the liquid coolant through the broad valve arrives in the evaporator where from a liquid being under a high pressure turns to the rarefied gas. The given phase transition is accompanied by sharp temperature drop and, accordingly, evaporator cooling. Then the coolant comes back in the compressor and a cycle repeats.

Air blown through the evaporator is cooled and arrives in heater assemblage where by mixing with the hot air arriving from the heat exchanger of last, the temperature set for choice the operator is given to it. The received mix of demanded characteristics (temperature and humidity) moves in car salon.

In case of need heating of air in salon the system works as a usual heater on models of a standard complete set (the Section System of heating/ventilation of salon - the general information see).

The compressor is established in the left forward corner of an impellent compartment, its drive is carried out by the multicostal auxiliary belt simultaneously putting in action and the generator. Adjustment of effort of a tension of a belt is made at the expense of change of position of the generator.

Compressors designation SD7H13 makes companies Sanden, appropriating it. The maximum frequency of rotation of the compressor makes 7000 rpm. Connection of a power shaft with compressor shaft is carried out by means of electromagnetic муфты, smoothing jerks at inclusion of the device and providing stability of functioning of the generator and smoothness of change of loading on the engine.

The compressor volume makes 129.2 sm 3. Креп the compressor on the engine it is carried out by means of four bolts.

Condenser K/V is established before a radiator of system of cooling of the engine. Power consumption of the fan of a radiator makes 250 Vt. The thermosensitive relay receiving the information from the gauge of temperature in the thermostat, makes switching-off of the compressor on reaching temperature of a cooling liquid of value 114С.

Control panel K/V is equipped by two switches: inclusions/deenergizings of system and regulation of temperature of air.

In case of infringement of functioning of system it is necessary to address in a specialised workshop or firm service-centre of company Skoda.

Safety measures

At service of any components of a refrigerator path of a central air of air it is necessary to observe special safety measures. The same concerns the procedures connected with necessity рассоединения of lines of a refrigerator path.

As a working body in a central air of air of the car the liquid coolant (freon) is used. Freon as chemical substance, it is potentially dangerous, that is why, to the reference with it can be admitted only the qualified expert. Coolant hit in contact to open sites of a skin can cause their deep обморожение. In itself freon is not poisonous, however at contact to open fire forms highly toxic gas, therefore, inhalation of gaseous freon through the lighted cigarette can lead to the most sad consequences. Besides, freon hit in atmosphere causes a considerable damage to environment in view of irreversible destruction of an ozone layer.

If there are suspicions on decrease in level of a coolant in air central air, it is necessary to stop its further use as it is fraught with compressor failure.

It is necessary to charge any detachment of components and refrigerator lines of system of cooling to experts.
