The throttle case

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove assemblage of a casing of an air cleaner (see Has undressed Removal and installation of assemblage of an air cleaner).
2. Dump residual pressure in the power supply system (see Has undressed Dump of residual pressure in the power supply system), then disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
3. Disconnect from unions on a wall of the case of a throttle of a line Mark hoses according to a real direction of a stream of fuel (arrows see illustrations).

4. Disunite electric sockets on throttle cases. Mark in appropriate way electroconducting plaits.

5. Disconnect from the case of a throttle an accelerator cable (see Has undressed Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of an accelerator).

6. Turn out through bolts () fastenings of the case of a throttle to the inlet pipeline. Remove cases of a throttle from the pipeline and clean a lining (if that is provided). Without real necessity it is not necessary to dismember throttle cases - its half fasten among themselves by means of internal through bolts (). If such partition is made, do not forget to replace a sealing lining.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Installation is made upside-down. Do not forget to replace sealing linings and to track reliability of a tightening of fixture. In summary adjust a tension of a cable of an accelerator (see Has undressed Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of an accelerator).


Injector of injection of fuel

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove an air cleaner casing (see Has undressed Removal and installation of assemblage of an air cleaner).
2. Dump residual pressure in the power supply system (see Has undressed Dump of residual pressure in the power supply system), then disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
3. Disconnect from an injector of injection electroconducting.

4. Turn out the screw and uncover an injector/casing of the gauge of temperature of soaked up air (IAT). Remove a lining.

5. Remove a fixing washer (if that is provided), then take an injector from the throttle case. Remove sealing rings.
6. By means of a universal tester measure electric resistance of an injector compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Installation is made upside-down. Do not forget to replace sealing rings and linings. A carving of fixing screws before installation grease with suitable hermetic. All fixture is tightened with demanded effort.


The gauge of temperature of soaked up air (IAT)


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Gauge IAT is built in in a cover of an injector of injection of fuel, the description of procedures of removal and which installation is resulted in the previous subsection. On the basis of information ECU received from the gauge corrects quantity of fuel injected by an injector. In default gauge ECU switches system in functioning emergency operation, developing the operating signal corresponding to temperature of air in 20С. Thus there can be problems with start of the engine and stability of its turns in a warming up mode.


Regulator of pressure of fuel

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In case of absence of confidence of serviceability of functioning of a regulator, it is necessary to make block dismantling, then to check up it on presence of signs of pollution and integrity of internal components.

Company Skoda insists that in case of failure of a regulator of pressure it is necessary to make replacement of all top half of case of a throttle in gathering. Consult on a car repair shop.

2. Remove an air cleaner casing (see Has undressed Removal and installation of assemblage of an air cleaner).
3. Dump residual pressure in the power supply system (see Has undressed Dump of residual pressure in the power supply system), then disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
4. Turn out the fixing screw and uncover an injector of injection/gauge IAT.
5. Turn out three fixing screws with heads of type TORX and remove a basic frame of a regulator of pressure of fuel.
6. Remove the top cover, a spring and a membrane.
7. Carefully wipe components and check up a membrane on presence of cracks and other mechanical damages.

Installation is made upside-down.


The module of position throttle заслонки

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. Remove an air cleaner casing (see Has undressed Removal and installation of assemblage of an air cleaner). The trailer switch and the step-by-step electromotor of a drive throttle заслонкиустановлены in the bottom part of the case of a throttle also provide enrichment of an air-fuel mix at start and engine warming up, and also switching-off of giving of fuel during braking by the engine.

2. Disconnect a cable of an accelerator from the throttle case (see Has undressed Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of an accelerator).
3. Disunite an electric socket on a wall of the module of position throttle заслонки.

4. Turn out fixing screws and remove the module from the throttle case together with a basic arm of a cover of a cable of an accelerator.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Installation is made upside-down. In case of installation of the new module it is necessary to check up adjustment of the gauge-switch of turns of idling - address on a car repair shop.


The gauge of position throttle заслонки (TPS)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove assemblage of the case of a throttle (see above). TPS it is built in the bottom half of assemblage and to replacement in individual to a lock is not subject. The gauge represents a potentiometer, the amplitude of which target signal changes in dependence of size of a corner of opening заслонки. Through contacts 1 and 5 on a potentiometer basic pressure moves. From contacts 1 and 2 the target signal of turn заслонки in a range from 0 to 24 acts in film. At turn заслонки in a range from 18 to 90 the target signal acts in film from contacts of 1 and 4 assemblages. Except signal production about current position throttle заслонки, the gauge in addition informs ECU on necessity of enrichment of an air-fuel mix at cold start, an acceleration and a mode of braking by the engine.


The gauge-switch of turns of idling throttle заслонки

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the module of position throttle заслонки (see above). The gauge-switch is built in in the module and to replacement in an individual order is not subject.
2. After performance of replacement of the module of position the idling gauge-switch should be adjusted in the conditions of a car-care centre workshop.


The oxygen gauge (l-probe)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

The l-probe is established in a reception pipe of system of release of the fulfilled gases. The working temperature of the gauge exceeds value 300С when in an active zone of the device there is a change of resistance of a working element depending on level of the maintenance of oxygen in the fulfilled gases. If the amplitude of a signal developed by the gauge falls outside the limits the admissible range corresponding to an optimum parity of components of an air-fuel mix, ECU develops a command on updating of quantity of injected fuel and a corner of an advancing of ignition, supporting thereby optimum conditions for the fullest combustion of a mix and reduction of level of toxic components in the fulfilled gases. In default a l-probe the system passes in the mode of emergency functioning accompanied by decrease of dynamic indicators and increase of the expense of fuel. In memory of the block of management the corresponding code of malfunction is brought.

The gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The temperature gauge of system of injection of fuel is established in a back part of the inlet pipeline. Besides it the separate gauge providing functioning of a measuring instrument of temperature - CTS (see the Head of System of cooling, heating) is provided. In case of infringement of serviceability of functioning of the gauge the system passes in work emergency operation, infringement of stability of turns of the cold engine thus can take place.
2. Gauge check can be made by measurement of its electric resistance which at the cold engine should make nearby 2 clod, and at hot - an order 300 Ohm.
3. At revealing of breakage the gauge is subject to replacement. If resistance changes with temperature, it is necessary to drive away the car on a car repair shop for more detailed check of a control system by the engine - the code gauge refusal is in certain cases fixed in memory ECU of system in the form of a corresponding code which can be defined by means of the special diagnostic input reader.
4. For gauge removal it is necessary or to empty completely cooling system, or to disconnect one of hoses охладительного a path from the pipeline and to empty last. Alternatively, prepare approaching заглушку for blocking of an adjusting aperture of the gauge after a reversing of the last.

5. Disunite an electric socket, then turn out the gauge from a back part of the pipeline (see an accompanying illustration). Remove a sealant - at assemblage it is subject to replacement without fail.

6. Establish a new sealant and screw the gauge on the regular place.
7. Connect electroconducting and, as required, add cooling system.


The gauge of turns and position of a cranked shaft


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

The gauge of turns and position of a cranked shaft is established on a dome of coupling and represents the induction assemblage informing ECU about frequency of rotation and position equipped induction ring () a flywheel. The induction ring has the cuts located through 54 . The gauge is established so that to develop an information impulse in points 60 and 6 to ВМТ. Analyzing the information arriving from the gauge, ECU defines the moment of injection of fuel, and at excess of the maximum admissible frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft (5800 rpm) or during braking by the engine blocks fuel giving. At gauge replacement track correctness of its placing on a coupling dome. Procedures of removal and gauge installation are described in the Head an engine Electric equipment.


The electronic block of management (ECU)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

ECU it is located behind on the left partition of an impellent compartment). The block is protected by a special code and should not act in film without preliminary consultation of representatives of the firm service-centre of company Skoda. The relay and safety locks of the fuel pump

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The relay of the fuel pump and safety locks of system of injection are located in the assembly block established in salon of the car (the Onboard electric equipment see the Head).
2. The pump relay is on the fifth position among the relay of the working panel of the assembly block. The electric chain of a contour of a food of the pump is protected by a safety lock № 4.
3. The relay is taken from the nest by simple вытягивания. Relay installation is unequivocal in view of асимметричности nest forms.
4. The safety lock acts in film also as well as all other safety locks (the Onboard electric equipment see the Head).
5. It is necessary to notice that removal of the main safety lock of system of injection (№ 1) leads to deleting of the adaptable data from memory ECU, also as it occurs at battery switching-off. Reboot of working parametres demands some time that can lead to infringement of stability of turns of idling within first several minutes after the first start of the engine.
