The power supply system of the diesel engine

The general information and safety measures

The power supply system consists of a fuel tank, the fuel pump of a high pressure (ТНВД), the fuel filter established in an impellent compartment with built in in it влагоотделителем, lines of giving and return of fuel and injection atomizers.

ТНВД it is put in action газораспределительным by a belt and rotates twice more slowly a cranked shaft. Дизтопливо it is sucked in by the pump from a tank and it is passed through the fuel filter. Further it under very high pressure moves on individual lines to atomizers.

Atomizers represent подпружиненные the mechanical valves opening at excess by pressure of fuel submitted on them of some preset value. At opening of valves fuel through форсуночные nozzles is injected into vortical chambers (system of indirect injection). We will notice that the design of atomizers is that that in process of increase of pressure valves open in two stages that allows to achieve the most effective combustion of a mix.
Base installation of phases of injection is defined by position ТНВД on its basic arm. Updating (a delay or an advancing) phases at the working engine is made actually by the pump mechanically, depending on position of a pedal of gas and engine turns.

The engine stop is made by means of запорного the electromagnetic valve which, working, blocks fuel giving in ТНВД. On the majority of models the given valve is included in a chain of anticreeping system. Until it will be disconnected иммобилизатор, engine start is not obviously possible.

At cold start turns of idling of the engine raise by means of the device of automatic increase of turns of the idling established on wall ТНВД.

The engine is equipped also by the block of the management supervising functioning of candles накаливания and recycling of fulfilled gases (EGR). The block is located near to the relay of candles накаливания in the left back corner of an impellent compartment. The information on current loading on a distance is delivered in the management block fixed on the lever of a drive throttle заслонки by a potentiometer. The valve of the beginning of the injection, established in ТНВД hands over the information on phases of giving of fuel on the block of management.

The structure of the block of management includes knot of self-diagnostics of refusals ТНВД. The diagnostic socket is located on the right under the panel of devices. Reading written down in memory of the block of the information is possible only by means of the special equipment and should be made by experts of car-care centre. The description of procedures of removal/installation of the pump for the purpose of elimination of the reasons of the revealed malfunctions is resulted in materials of the Head.

Safety measures

Дизтопливо is in the higher measure an inflammable liquid. At performance of service of components of the power supply system it is necessary to observe special safety measures!

Do not smoke and do not come nearer to a place of work with a source of an open flame / the redurable not protected by a lamp shade! Do not make service of components of the power supply system in the premises equipped working on natural gas and heating devices equipped with a control torch. Watch, that near at hand constantly there was a charged fire extinguisher.

Avoid fuel hit in eyes and on open sites of a skin. Dress protective gloves and points. Casually got splashes wash off water with soap.

Remember that fuel evaporations not less if no more, are dangerous, than actually liquid fuel. Perform all works in well ventilated premise.

Many of procedures described in the given Chapter are connected with necessity of a detachment of the fuel lines, inevitably conducting to fuel pouring. Try to prepare beforehand all necessary materials for gathering of spilt fuel.

Remember that pressure of operation of atomizers very highly and hit of a stream from a nozzle on open sites of a body can lead to reception of serious traumas. Composers of the present Management recommend to charge performance of all carried out under the pressure of system checks to the qualified experts of car-care centre.

At all do not suppose hit дизтоплива on hoses охладительного a path, casual splashes immediately clean pure rags. The hoses polluted by fuel are subject to replacement.

The power supply system of the diesel engine is especially sensitive to any pollution. At service of components of system try to watch cleanliness of components and not to suppose hit in a dirt path. Before connection of hoses carefully wipe unions. The removed components put in pure capacities. For rubbing of details use only неворсящуюся rags. Try not to apply compressed air to a purge of components of the power supply system in situ.
