2. Before installation of rings on pistons it is necessary to check up size of backlashes in their locks.
3. Spread out piston assemblages and complete sets of their rings on a pure working surface. The block of cylinders lay sideways on a workbench, having provided access both to its top party, and to bottom.
4. Fill top компрессионное a ring of the corresponding piston in the first cylinder of the engine. The piston bottom push a ring in the bottom part of the cylinder. Take the piston.

5. Щупом лезвийного type measure a backlash in the ring lock - a demanded thickness the edge (Specifications see) should slip hardly between face surfaces of a ring in its lock. Before to reject a ring, make sure that have not mixed it with the bottom. Repeat procedure for the remained rings.

6. At use of firm new piston rings probability of that backlashes in their locks will be too small is smallest - remember that смыкание locks at thermal expansion of rings is fraught with jamming of the engine and its irreversible exit out of operation. 7. After end of check and updating of backlashes in locks of all rings it is possible to start their clothing on the pistons. Track, that rings were established on the piston by marks upwards.

8. Having finished installation of rings on the piston, check up freedom of their rotation in the flutes, then develop locks under 120 to each other.

In case of different interpretations installation of rings should be made according to instructions of their manufacturers.
