Instructions for use a material of the Head

The given Part of the Head is devoted repair of the engine of 1.6 l, not connected with its extraction from the car (in situ).

The description большей parts of considered procedures is made, proceeding from the assumption that the power unit remains on the regular place in an impellent compartment of the car. In view of told, in a case if the engine is already dismantled and established on a workbench or the assembly stand, many of described steps should be lowered.

Let's notice that despite physical possibility of performance of repair in situ such components as shatunno-piston groups, this sort of works are usually made after dismantling of the engine in view of necessity of carrying out of some auxiliary procedures, not to mention requirements to observance of cleanliness of details and absolute passableness маслотоков.

The general description of the engine

The considered engine concerns family of 4-cylinder petrol engines with рядным placing of cylinders and the top arrangement of a camshaft (OHC). The engine is established cross-section in a forward part of the car. Transmission and coupling assemblages are in the left part of the power unit. On a design the engine is similar to the engine considered above of 1.3 l.

The block of cylinders is made of pig-iron moulding, a head - from an aluminium alloy. In a head the camshaft which drive is carried out by a zubchato-belt drive from a cranked shaft is established. In запрессованные in a head body directing plugs are planted inlet and final valves. Closing of each of valves occurs at the expense of the effort developed by a unique screw spring. Camshaft cams influence valves directly through the hydraulic pushers planted in individual nests. The cranked shaft is established in five radical bearings. The bearing established between the second and third cylinders, is persistent and supervises axial люфт a shaft.

The compulsory system of greasing of the engine is organised by means of the pump put in action by individual chain transfer from a cranked shaft.
