The general information

At service of any of components of brake system it is necessary to operate extremely accurately, methodically carrying out all procedures described in the present Management in proper order. At works with components of a hydraulic path it is necessary for cleanliness observance to give special attention. In the absence of confidence of correctness of an estimation of a condition of components, without reflecting make their replacement (in the complete set for the given axis of the car). As replaceable use only firm details of manufacture of company Skoda, or not conceding to them on quality.


All models are equipped by 2-planimetric brake system of hydraulic type with vacuum strengthening. The main brake cylinder (ГТЦ) has a dual design. Contours of hydraulic system function independently, i.e. in default one of them, the second continues to provide adequate braking of the car by two wheels. In normal conditions both brake contours function in a unison. The system of antiblocking of brakes (ABS) is included into a standard complete set of some models, on the other can be established in addition (see more in detail Has undressed Removal and installation of components of systems ABS).

Brake mechanisms of forward wheels on all models have a disk design. Back wheels are equipped by drum-type brake mechanisms. Supports of disk brake mechanisms have an one-piston design with floating скобой, providing uniformity of distribution of effort between two brake колодкам. In drums of brake mechanisms of back wheels the forward and back boots put in action by the 2-piston wheel cylinder are placed. The special adjusting mechanism automatically compensates deterioration of frictional overlays at the expense of updating of position of boots.

On not equipped ABS models the pressure valve-regulator is included in a hydraulic contour of back brake mechanisms. The valve can react to change as pressure in a contour, and degrees of loading of the car, and in the first case two valves (on one on everyone their wheels), rolled directly in ГТЦ, and in the second - one, fixed on a body of the car and connected to the back bridge a spring are used. Valve-regulator presence (ов) allows system to correct in due time pressure in hydraulic contours of brake mechanisms of back wheels, preventing thereby premature blocking of the last at sharp braking.

The lay brake has an independent mechanical drive and influences back wheels of the car.
