1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Remove a steering wheel (see Has undressed Removal and steering wheel installation).
3. Remove from the top part of a steering column combined подрулевые switches (the Onboard electric equipment see the Head).

4. Disconnect electroconducting from horn contacts on the holder подрулевых switches.

5. Accurately having hooked, remove from the panel of devices facing of the lock of ignition/blocking of a wheel.

6. At a corresponding complete set unbend back a carpet covering, then give the screw and a nut of fastening of a finishing casing of the basis of a steering column for the purpose of providing of access to bottom карданному to the hinge of an intermediate shaft.

7. With a paint or a marker mark position bottom карданного the hinge of an intermediate shaft rather приводной gear wheels the helmsman рейки, then turn out a coupling bolt шарнирной assemblages.

8. Turn out the top bolts of fastening of a column...

... Try to remember adjusting positions of remote washers and rubber pillows. Remove a fixing collar.

9. Turn out the bottom fixing bolts, remove remote washers and rubber pillows, then slightly lower a column for the purpose of providing of access to the ignition lock. Remembering an order of connection of sockets, disconnect lock electroconducting...

... On the models equipped иммобилизатором, accurately liberate a ring of the gauge from a casing of the lock and take him aside from a steering column.

10. Separate an intermediate shaft from приводной gear wheels the helmsman рейки and remove assemblage of a steering column from the car.

11. Check up a condition of support of a column, in case of revealing of signs of deterioration or deformations make necessary replacements. Estimate density of landing of a steering shaft in column plugs. Check up a condition карданных hinges and serviceability of functioning of bearings крестовин. In case of revealing of defects of plugs of a shaft or карданных hinges it is necessary to make regenerative repair of a column (see Has undressed Major repairs of a steering column).

1. Having achieved combination of the landing labels put in the course of dismantle, enter an intermediate shaft into gearing with teeths приводной gear wheels реечного the mechanism.
2. Being verified with the marks put in the course of dismantle, connect electroconducting to the ignition lock. At a corresponding complete set latch into place a gauge ring иммобилизатора.

3. Having tracked correctness of installation of remote washers and rubber pillows, plant a steering column on the bottom support. Screw the bottom fixing bolts, then establish a collar of the top support (again track correctness of assemblage of components) and draw its bolts. Make sure of correctness of position of a column, then tighten all fixture with demanded effort.

4. Establish to the place of a coupling bolt bottom карданного the hinge of an intermediate shaft and tighten with demanded effort. At a corresponding complete set establish a finishing casing of the basis of a column, strongly having tightened fixing the screw with a nut.
5. The further assemblage is made in an order, the return to a dismantle order. Pay attention to following moments:

a) Track correctness of a lining of electroconducting and reliability of fastening of plaits in all provided intermediate clamps;
b) the Order of installation of a steering wheel is stated in Section Removal and steering wheel installation;
c) Before installation of the bottom casing of a column make sure available a small backlash between a steering wheel and the top casing. In case of need modify backlash size, having weakened a collar of the holder подрулевых switches.
