Models without the hydraulic booster


Reechnaja transfer will transform turn of a steering column to movement of the draughts turning operated wheels of the car.

Carter of the steering mechanism is made of an aluminium alloy. Transfer consists from drive a shaft-gear wheel and gear рейки.

The shaft of a drive of the steering mechanism is equipped by a gear wheel and established in картере реечной transfers to two bearings of type PLC 03-29/1. Shaft assemblage is in constant gearing with gear рейкой, rigidly connected to steering draughts. Shaft rotation causes moving рейки to the right or to the left. Together with рейкой the steering draughts move also, forcing to turn forward wheels of the car.

Carter of the steering mechanism from above is closed by a cover fixed by two bolts М6х20. The cover is established on a sealing lining. In the middle картера the aperture through which takes place a shaft of a drive of the steering mechanism is provided. For the purpose of assemblage hermetic sealing in an aperture the epiploon 17х28х7 is established.

For the purpose of sample люфта shaft bearings adjusting washers of 0.1 and 0.2 mm are applied in the thickness.

The lateral aperture in картере also is closed by a cover which fastens two bolts М6х20. Under a cover the sealing lining is established. Through an aperture in the middle of a cover passes a bolt intended for adjustment of a backlash in gearing of a shaft with gear рейкой. Bolt position is fixed by a counternut. The demanded backlash in gearing is supported подпружиненным by a cracker and the equipped sealing ring 28х20.

The right party картера the steering mechanism represents a pipe in which the plug is planted. In the plug is located gear рейка. The ends рейки are connected to steering draughts.

Rubber protective covers protect the steering mechanism from hit of pollution, and also prevent вытекание greasings by which it is filled картер.

The steering mechanism is attached to an arm by a cross-beam of a beam of a forward suspension bracket on two rubber support which are established in holders. Each of holders fastens by means of two bolts М8х20. Both support, and holders differ from each other (components большего are established the size more close to the steering mechanism).

Models with the wheel hydraulic booster

Elements of a steering with the hydraulic booster are made by company TRW Dusseldorf.

Into system structure enter реечный the steering mechanism united in one case with the power cylinder and the valve-distributor, the steering pump, the tank of a hydraulic liquid and connecting hydraulic lines.

Steering draughts are slightly shorter used on models with a manual drive of the steering mechanism. The steering wheel full speed (from an emphasis against the stop) makes 3.0 turns (against 3.6 turns in models with a manual drive). Reduction of number of turns of a shaft is connected with the smaller transfer relation реечного the mechanism.

At the working engine the hydraulic liquid moves the steering pump to the valve-distributor реечного the mechanism. During the initial moment of turn of a steering wheel (prior to the beginning of moving рейки) occurs turn of the valve-distributor and a liquid goes to a corresponding cavity of the power cylinder. While the driver puts effort to a steering wheel, the valve-distributor is displaced also a liquid continues to arrive in the cylinder. As soon as wheel turn stops, the valve-distributor is displaced in average position and liquid giving in the cylinder stops (a pressure head highway incorporates with returnable). The pump thus continues to work in a single mode, freely pumping over a liquid through the valve. Thus, the hydraulic booster constantly remains ready to work. If the driver, having turned out a wheel against the stop, continues to put to it effort in extreme position, the valve-distributor remains in the displaced position and pressure of a liquid will continue to influence the cylinder piston. The maximum productivity of the pump thus develops and there is an intensive warming up of a liquid as a result of increase of its pressure. In view of told, it is not necessary to keep excessively long a steering wheel in extreme position, risking to put the device out of action. Strengthening degree depends sizes of the effort put to a steering wheel - the more strongly the driver presses on a wheel, the the valve-distributor is more displaced, raising the expense of a liquid and capacity developed by the amplifier.

At arrival by a wheel on an obstacle (for example, поребрик or the stone), the valve-distributor aspires to be displaced in average position, pressure of a liquid decreases, and the effort to a steering drive increases. The driver aspires to keep wheels in the necessary position; thus the valve-distributor is displaced from average position and directs a liquid stream to a corresponding cavity of the cylinder, without allowing рейке to move. Thus the feedback from wheels to the driver is carried out.

The working path of system of hydrostrengthening is filled by special liquid Pentosin CHF 11 S in number of 0.9 l which simultaneously carries out a role of greasing for components of the steering mechanism and the pump. The hydraulic lines laid between the pump, the valve-distributor, the power cylinder and the tank of a hydraulic liquid are executed from metal tubes and rubber hoses. Each section is equipped special штуцерными by tips.

The main working element of system is шиберный the steering pump. The rotor with mobile plates rotates in статоре the special form. At work of the pump the liquid arrives from outside depression, gets to the chamber formed by plates of a rotor and walls статора. The chamber volume on a measure поворачивания a rotor gradually decreases, pressure of a liquid increases also it starts to be pushed out in on a connecting line in the valve-distributor. At excess of the maximum admissible pressure works a safety valve connecting a working cavity with the chamber of depression. Pressure thus in steps falls. The maximum productivity of the pump is reached at frequency of rotation of a rotor from 500 to 700 rpm. The maximum pressure developed by the pump makes 20 кПа. The pump drive is carried out by the multicostal belt in parallel used also for a drive of compressor K/V, the generator and the pump.

The power cylinder united with the steering mechanism and the valve-distributor, fastens to a cross-section beam of a suspension bracket bolts М10х1.25 (unlike bolts М8 in case of the steering mechanism with a manual drive).

With the wheel hydraulic booster are equipped diesel models and petrol l models 1.6. Distinction consists only in a route of a lining of connecting lines.

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In car salon give fixing nuts and remove a foot emphasis assemblage from a coupling pedal.

2. At a corresponding complete set unbend back a carpet covering, give the screw and a nut of fastening of a finishing casing of the basis of a steering column. Remove a casing for the purpose of providing of access to bottom карданному to the hinge of an intermediate shaft.
3. With a paint or a marker mark hinge position rather приводной gear wheels реечной transfers, then turn out a coupling bolt шарнирной assemblages.
4. Give nuts, remove washers and liberate a sealing plate and a lining established around приводной of a gear wheel.

The damaged lining is subject to replacement.

5. Firmly cock a lay brake, then поддомкратьте redock of the car and establish it on props. Remove both lobbies of a wheel.
6. Take шплинты, then give nuts of fastening of tips of steering bent for ступичным to assemblages. Liberate tips from rotary levers of naves - in case of need take advantage of a stripper of spherical hinges.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn out fixing bolts and remove from a stretcher collars of fastening of the steering mechanism.
2. Separate assemblage реечной transfers from an intermediate shaft and take it from under the car. Remove rubber pillows of support from the steering mechanism (pillows are not interchangeable). Take from car salon a sealing plate with a lining.


Models with the wheel hydraulic booster

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For the purpose of minimisation of losses of a hydraulic liquid by special clips or clamps press submitting and returnable hoses near to the tank of the steering pump.
2. Having marked sockets, turn out штуцерные bolts on assemblage of the steering mechanism (prepare drain capacity for gathering of a following hydraulic liquid). Disconnect both hoses and remove sealing washers.

At assemblage sealing washers are subject to replacement without fail. At once закупорьте the open ends of hoses and an aperture in картере the steering mechanism for the purpose of minimisation of losses of a hydraulic liquid and in order to avoid hit in dirt system.

3. Liberate hydraulic hoses from intermediate clamps and take them aside from assemblage of the steering mechanism.
4. Turn out fixing bolts and remove from a stretcher fastening collars реечной assemblages.
5. Separate assemblage реечной transfers from an intermediate shaft and take it from under the car. Remove rubber pillows of support from the steering mechanism (pillows are not interchangeable). Take from car salon a sealing plate with a lining.
